rotor cloud
A long drive over the only road leading into the Lapland mountains between Sweden and Norway.
As I'm driving westwards, the temperature rises 25 degrees Celcius and a strong wind developes.
I park the car just under the quiet aurora oval, not much activity to-night though.
The night is still long and I decide to stay in this frozen world of gletchers and very old mountains.
Slowly a large rotor cloud forms in the sky, it keeps the same position for over an hour while the surface wind grows into a small storm.
